Figure Skating Special Olympics 2008 Illinois Lauren Miller-kids with Down Syndrome

Lauren competed in the 2008 Special Olympics Winter Games in Galena. Lauren has Down Syndrome. She had moved up to Level 2 from Level 1 this year and was the youngest Level 2 skater. She won a Silver medal ranking second in Level 2.

If you don’t know what that is, here is a rundown…

Every summer Bloomberg rents Randall’s Island (next to Manhattan) for a party. All employees are welcome to attend (+1 Guest). No one knows exactly what events will be awaiting guests when they arrive. Oh… and everything you see on the island is FREE. Don’t even THINK about tipping your bartender cause you can’t. Woo-ho!

Ice Skating in San Francisco – Union Square – Christmas 2008

Visit: www.sfphotorama.com for photos of San Francisco and more. I shot this at Union Square in San Francisco where this year they have set up an ice skating rink. 1st time I’ve seen it here so I believe it’s a first for San Francisco. I think it’s a great idea because it’s right where the busy Christmas activity of shopping is happening. It’s fun. This was a fun eve seeing all the family’s have fun on the rink.
